Edward R. Saltzberg, Ph.D. President

Edward Saltzberg, Ph.D. President of ERS AdvisorsEd began his consulting career with Science Applications International Corporation in the 1970's, when it was a $50 million firm. He quickly rose to Corporate Officer and was part of SAIC's explosive internal growth to over $2 billion. 

He brought what he learned at SAIC as a partner in two small consulting firms, Viar & Company and the Marasco Newton Group, which he helped expand and sell to DynCorp (now CSC) and SRA International. He subsequently led Battelle Memorial Institute's environmental program, before starting ERS Advisors in 2007.

Ed primarily works with executives to implement a corporate-wide systematic approach to meet financial goals. The Bid Decsision Framework (BDF)  includes business metrics, pipeline management tools and training to implement the tactcs Ed learned from 30 years of experience winning several billion dollars of federal awards.

Environment and Security

Tim currently supports the Department of Homeland Security’s strategic planning efforts to address Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosive events. He is a former Director of EPA’s National Homeland Security Research Center and the Acting Assistant Administrator of its Office of Research & Development.

Richard Aiken

Energy and Climate Change

Rich was formerly a Senior Policy Adviser to the Secretary of Energy for energy policy focusing on alternative energy, electricity issues, carbon-trading programs, renewable energy and energy-related environmental issues. He consults to US business and international professional services firms on energy and environmental government markets.

Alex Beehler

Defense & Environment

Alex maintains a strong background in federal environmental policy having served in the Department of Justice as a senior trial attorney for environmental enforcement and at the EPA as a special assistant for legal and enforcement counsel. He formerly served as the principal assistant and advisor to Deputy Under Secretary Grone for all environmental, safety, and occupational health policies and programs in DoD.

Benjamin Ritchey

Transportation

Ben, formerly Vice President of Batelle's Transportation Division, led a $75 million practice providing engineering, operations research, and economic development expertise to provide global safety, security, and technology transfer services to both transportation and space-related government and commercial clients.

Gary Silversmith, ESQ

Asset Management

Gary is a former senior Resolution Trust Corporation official. He is active in Brownfields redevelopment and consults to government distressed asset programs, including the Overseas Private investment Corporation (OPIC) and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).
